Who Are We?
Queen’s Women of Colour Collective (QWOCC) strives to provide a supportive community open to discussing issues pertaining to ethnicity, academics, and personal narratives. QWOCC fosters a creative environment for both women of colour and allies to share stories, advice and celebrate diversity within the Queen’s community. QWOCC will utilize social media, blog-based content, and regular on-campus networking events to instill a sense of support and friendship among Queen’s students.

Our Most Recent Blog Posts
The QWOCC blog is composed of posts from both our blog team and our general members. Members are encouraged to send articles such as essays, personal narratives, poetry or any other form of written submissions to our blog submission portal which can be found below. Pending review, submissions will be published.
Feel free to submit to our blog through the portal below!
“Who can submit?”
Anyone! You do not have to be a general member to submit to QWOCC’s blog. As long as you are a student at Queen’s you are welcome to submit!
“What can I write about?”
Blog submissions are prompted by our monthly themes which we announce on our social media platforms. Feel like writing something that doesn’t fit our monthly theme? Send it over anyway! Our themes are meant to be used as guides.
“How long should it be?”
Blog posts can be however long you want them to be. Whether it be a poem, a story, or an opinion piece submissions do not have a lower or upper limit.
“When should I submit?”
Submissions following monthly themes should be submitted by the end of the month. For example, if you are planning on submitting for our September theme you should aim to submit by September 30th.
